Orthodox Black Tea

Black tea is a “true” tea made from leaves more heavily oxidized than the white, green, and oolong varieties. Black tea is generally stronger in flavor and contains more caffeine than the more lightly oxidized teas.

Orthodox Green Tea

Green tea is a “true” tea that has undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Green tea is popular in China, Japan and Taiwan and has recently become more popular in the West.

Orthodox White and Yellow Tea

White tea is tea made from new growth buds and young leaves. The leaves are steamed or fried to inactivate polyphenol oxidation, and then dried. White tea therefore retains the high concentrations of catechins, which are present in fresh tea leaves. Yellow tea usually implies a special tea processed similarly to green tea, but with a slower drying phase.

Flavored Black and Green Tea

Flavored black and green teas contain additional flavoring. Flavors such as Bergamot, Vanilla, and Rose to name a few, are added to provide a distinct tea drinking experience.
